As of August 6th 2010 Cardinals manager Mark Milroy has been notified that the their season is over. Unfortunately the 2010 Cardinals season has come to an early end due to lack of teams funds. The Cardinals are the second team to go down the same path as the Pirates did earlier in the year. Next year the HVNABA is already looking to make some changes so this does not happen again. Thankfully both of these teams were a non factor in the playoff race.

| The National League First place Redbirds will be taking over the Cardinals name in 2011. The Redbirds have been known as the Dutchess County Cardinals for many years around the area and at various tournaments. They are happy to have an opportunity to play under this name. They are in no way nor have they ever been in anyway affiliated with the former Cardinals team run by Mark Milroy. |
FORMER CARDINALS PLAYERS - If any of you are interested in playing in the league next year please send an email to [email protected]. Teams will be forming very shortly after the season is over.
