Nationals Forfeit Last Game of 2013

What was suppose to be a promising first season for the Nationals, wound up coming to a screeching hault this past Sunday as the Nats would be forced to forfeit their last game of the season, having only 6 players available for the game, bringing their record to 3-20-1.

It was an up and down year for the Nats but as there is with every first year club, there are growing pains, but are looking forward to the future and diirection that the club is going in. The Nats are currently in talks with a number of prospects to make the club for the 2014 season, as well as other possible big things to come.

The Nationals would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our fans who came out this season to support us and can't wait to see all of you on Opening Day 2014!!

Nationals 1B/OF Mike Vecchione To Have Shoulder Surgery. Slugger's Expected to be ready for Opening Day.

With the team having trouble with players coming to games, Vecchione had opted to put off much needed surgery that hindered him for the bulk of the last 3 seasons on a torn right labrum. The injury occurred back in 2010 vs the former Hyde Park A's (Now the Hudson Valley Rays) while he was a memeber of the Black Sox. Vec's recovery is expected to be 3 months and is expected to be back in time for the start of the 2014 season.
