Game 6 - Sunday, October 21st 

 

In what was a must win game for the Rockies, we fell just a run short of tying the game in a late eighth inning rally. Dan Seidner drove in two runs on a two out double in the 8th to bring the deficit to one, but was stranded on third on an outstanding catch by the Phillies center fielder. The Players of the Game were Tim Gugumuck and Tyler Sherman. Tim kept his hot bat alive with a 4 hit game. Tyler came in to pitch in the second, going 7 strong innings allowing just one hit and one run. The Rockies outhit the Phillies 13-4, but left several men in scoring position throughout the game. It’s been a great season for the Rockies with a lot of positives to take from it. Our last two games are this Sunday at 9 and 12:30 as we look to have some fun and end the season on a high note. Games 4 and 5 - Sunday, October 14th

 

In what was the most competitive matchup of the season, the Rockies and Orioles split a doubleheader Sunday. The Rockies won game one with help from a huge one-run complete game performance by Casey Bryant. A huge two out two run single in the eighth by Dan Seidner helped pad the Rockies lead and give them the victory. Game two saw another pitcher’s duel, with Dale Rexhouse going six strong and allowing just one unearned run. Despite solid defense, the Rockies’ bats were unable to get anything going off of the Orioles’ ace. The next couple weeks loom large as the Rockies look to make a push for a playoff spot. Next game is this Sunday 9am at Robinson Lane Holt Field against the Phillies. #LetsGoRockies⚾️

Game 3 - Sunday, October 7th

 

The Rockies started #Rocktober off hot with a 12-8 victory over the White Sox. This was a well fought game between both teams, both fighting unitl the last out. Rockies took a quick 8-0 lead scoring one in the first and seven after sending 13 men to the plate in the second inning. Dale had an excellent start allowing only two hits and three runs over four innings, also striking out five in the process. The White Sox scored 4 runs in the 8th to keep the game close, forcing the Rockies to use three pitchers to get out of the inning. Junior Batista ultimately came in to close it out and hold the White Sox both hitless and scoreless in his two innings of work. The co-players of the game were Jon Mages and Ed Hernandez. Jon had a 4-4 game with 4 RBIs and a run scored. Ed also collected 4 hits on the day with an RBI and a run scored. Game 2 - Sunday, September 30th

 

The Rockies were handed our first loss of the season, a tough 6-3 defeat at the hands of the Mets. The game was all Rockies for 7 innings, backed by a great performance by starting pitcher Christian Ross. Ross went 4.2 strong, allowing just one run on three hits. All-Stars Richie Iula and Edward Hernandez each put together multi-hit games. The Mets put five runs on the board in the last two innings and the Rockies were unable to come back. We’ll look to bounce back next week against the White Sox.

Game 1 - Sunday, September 23rd

 

Rockies came up with the BIG 18-3 win over the Diamondbacks in our first game of the fall season. Tyler Sherman looked like an ace on the mound going five strong allowing only one unearned run on three hits and getting the win. All star Richie Iula was the clear offensive player of the game collecting three hits, four stolen bases and three RBIs. Casey Bryant also collected three hits and three RBIs, scoring four runs. Ed Hernandez, Dan Seidner, Ryne Milkins, Christian Ross and Vinny Naclerio each had two hit games of their own.
