The HV Mets would like to congratulate team manager Matt Connor on his new career with Metro North. This news is bittersweet for the Mets because this means for the unforeseable future, he will not be able to play with or coach the Mets. Brian Engel/RJ Redmond will be serving as interim managers for the time being until Matt can return. The Mets wish nothing but the best for Matt! Matt may be #28 in your programs but he is #1 in our hearts!
Mets fall to the pirates 4-1. Redmond pitched 8 innings 2 earned and struck out 12 pirates. We left 11 base runners on. The defense was very strong today, but we couldn't pull it out. We take on the devil rays next sunday @ Robinson lane 12:30.
The Hudson Valley Mets will be playing on Historic Doubleday field at the Baseball Hall of Fame on June 13th.
